Munching on Murukku is sheer fun because it tastes marvelous with a cup of coffee or Adrak Wali Chai. Plus, it naturally helps in satiating those sudden hunger pangs within minutes. How about turning this snack healthier? I did the same by making Jowar Chakli. Jowar is an excellent source of dietary fiber as a result making a snack as salubrious as Jowar Chakli makes more sense any day. Made from malai, jowar atta, ajwain and maida, Jowar Chakli has wholesomeness packed inside its every bite. You can pack Jowar Chakli for your kid’s tiffin or store a jarful of this snack and nibble it any time you want.
Here’s how to make Jowar Chakli within no time:
- Jowar atta - 1 cup
- Maida - 1 cup
- Malai - ½ cup
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Ajwain - 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Mix all the ingredients and knead to make a soft dough.
- Let it rest for 5 min.
- Put it in chakli maker and make soft chakli.
- Deep fry these chakli until golden brown.
